This project examines the productive mentalities of architecture towards the city through short documentaries. The screening of the first research took place on May 7, 2015. The project places emphasis on concepts that act in support of the city by investigating a group of architects who saw potential in urbanization. From August Endell’s Berlin to Venturi and Scott Brown’s Las Vegas, from Hilberseimer’s Groszstadt to Tschumi’s Transcripts, these works demonstrate a deep investment in reconfiguring architecture as an urban practice. Each video aims to simultaneously understand each work’s individual circumstance as well as outline a collective architectural project of the city.
