Posted on April 5, 2012

Liyan_VisionaryImage copyThis project aims to detect aspects of the existing city that so far remained unnoticed. By extrapolating these isolated components, new forms of urbanism emerge, where a river runs through the Circle Interchange, bridges start to cross between skyscrapers, lakes appear in the Loop, rooftops become lush gardens, buildings begin to set back, a vertical park grows tall, urban graphics are written into the shoreline, and individual monuments form historical archipelagos.
