The basic unit of the exhibition averages the proportions of the Chicago lot (21’ x 125’, about 6,4 x 38m). Each of the protagonists will be given a space measuring 3’ x 12’ (0,9 x 3,7m). Assembled next to each other, the model results in an overall area of 12’ x 12’ (3,7 x 3,7m). For the visitors, this will be an immersive experience related to the topics of the river, the grid, the industry, and the shelter. A canvas / screen is installed around the model – seemingly floating in mid-air. Inside the immersive environment, the canvas displays a continuous section, which refers to the model, while the exterior of the screen shows a panorama entirely composed of unbuilt visionary projects for the city across the 20th century.
